Overview

Hotel Shadab stands out as a premier destination for authentic Hyderabadi cuisine, especially famed for its biryanis. Located near the iconic Charminar, this restaurant captures the essence of local flavors with dishes that are rich in taste and tradition. Reviewers rave about the Mutton Biryani, noted for its aromatic spices and generous portions, often enough to share. Alongside, the Chicken Majestic and various starters impress diners, adding to the overall experience. While the atmosphere may feel a bit cramped during peak hours, the warmth of the service offered by staff like Iqbal Khan and Shiva enhances the visit. Patrons also appreciate the complimentary treats like goli soda and chai, which elevate the meal. It’s important to be prepared for a wait, especially on weekends, yet the consensus is clear: the flavors at Hotel Shadab are absolutely worth it.

One of the famous biryani places in town. Atmosphere wise it's a bit stuffy, don't expect fine dining setup here, food however is a different story. Delicious starters, top notch biryanis and chilled drinks. We had Murgh ke sholay and pathar ka gosht starters. The former is a textural delight and the latter is a flavour bomb. We had Spl Mutton Biryani and Chicken Biryani and both of them were finger licking good. A suggestion, please eat biryani with your fingers and do not use spoons. There is no parking nearby so if you're bringing your vehicle arrive early to search for a parking spot.

Perfect service by Iqbal Khan and Shiva. Would definitely visit again. There is a three level seating options on 3 different floors. The service is fairly quick but the waiting time is At least 40-50mins, specially on holidays and weekends. The place could be a bit more hygienic, but overall fairly good managed space wrt to the crowd coming in every minute and its proximity to the charminar.

Veg Food ***** Non Veg Food - Starters ***** Non Veg Food - Main Course ***** Desert ***** Thank you Shadab for treating us with great food, both Veg and Non-veg. We were seriously disappointed by the overhyped Paradise Biryani but had a great flavorful food experience with you. We visited on a mid-week afternoon and it was pretty crowded, which I expect could be better managed. The inside dining room that was opened after long wait, was conjusted and suffocating and could have been opened and ready to seat, in anticipation. Hopefully these feedbacks be addressed when we visit next. See you soon..

An absolute must-visit if you’re near Charminar! Hotel Shadab serves what is hands down the best Hyderabadi biryani we’ve ever had—flavourful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. One portion is more than enough for two people. We also tried the goli soda and their chai—both were perfect complements to the meal. It’s just a short walk from Charminar, making it a great lunch stop during your sightseeing. Yes, it’s usually crowded and the wait can be long, but trust us—it’s totally worth it. A legendary experience you shouldn’t miss in Hyderabad!

Recently, I visited this iconic restaurant in Hyderabad, which was established in 1990. We ordered a mini mutton platter, chicken majestic, mutton biryani, veg biryani, and rumali roti. The chicken majestic was okay, the mutton platter was good, and I absolutely loved the mutton biryani the flavors and taste were fantastic. It’s definitely one of the finest places for biryani. However, if you plan to visit this place on weekends, be prepared for a long wait due to the large crowd. The wait time can be quite crazy, so plan your visit accordingly. Lastly, we tried the falooda, and it was delicious. Overall, it’s a great place for biryani, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic and flavorful biryani.

We visited Shadab Hotel for lunch during our trip to Hyderabad and had a memorable food experience. We ordered their famous Hyderabadi Biryani and Kebabs, and the taste was truly exceptional. The biryani, in particular, was one of the best we've ever had in Hyderabad — perfectly cooked rice, aromatic spices, and tender meat made it absolutely delightful. The kebabs were also juicy and full of flavor. The staff at the restaurant were courteous and attentive. However, we did face a slight inconvenience while waiting for a clean table. The cleaner seemed inattentive and delayed in responding to the manager’s instructions, making us wait over 10 minutes near our designated table before it was cleaned. This was a bit disappointing in an otherwise smooth experience. That said, the quality of the food makes it totally worth a visit. If you’re in the Charminar area, Shadab is definitely a must-try for authentic Hyderabadi flavors.

It’s crowded anytime of the day. Taste is fine and good. Quantity also sufficient But it’s bit costly 420 for a normal mutton Biriyani doesn’t justify the taste Anyways it’s the legendary place, you can experience once Note: only cash and card, No UPI
